Dear Professor Briukhovetsky,
The undersigned participants in an international conference titled "Clash of Civilisations" held at the Contemporary Europe Research Centre, University of Melbourne, are profoundly concerned for the future of political pluralism and human rights in Ukraine. We applaud and support the efforts of the millions of citizens of Ukraine who are actively protesting against the falsification of the results of the recent Ukrainian presidential election. In particular, we express our admiration for, and solidarity with, the students and professoriate of the Kyiv Mohyla Academy National University, who have played a vanguard role in the protest movement and have led others in demonstrating commitment to the ideal of a just, open and free society. We wish them continued courage and determination, and early success.

Yours sincerely,
